Are you a member of the “IN” crowd?
Are you among those who are INdifferent? Are you lukewarm toward living a Christian life?
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
-Rev.3:16, 17
Let us rather be INvolved.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
-Eph. 4:15, 16
Maybe you are among those who are INsincere? (Or hypocritical)
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
-Matt. 23:27, 28
I would rather be among those who haveINtegrity.
Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
-Titus 2:7, 8
Are you INconsistent?
you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? You who boast in the law dishonor God by breaking the law.
-Rom.2:21-23
Let’s show INitiative instead.
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
-Rom. 12:9,10
Are you INdefinite?( unwilling to take a stand)
Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue;
-John 12:42
Let’s rather seek to INspire others by standing up for what we believe in.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
-I Cor.16:13
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.
-Jude 3
Are you INdiscreet (unwise)?
He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.’ But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.”
-Matt.25:24-27
Let’s be INtelligent (Or wise).
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.
-II Pet.1:5-10
Are you INflated?
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
-Prov. 16:18
Let’s strive to maintain our confidence, not in ourselves and our abilities, but IN Christ Jesus because without Him, we have no hope of being saved at all.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
-Rom. 12:3
The choice is yours as to which “IN” crowd you will be a part of and that choice can effect where you spend eternity. Choose the way of Christ.
